The nomenclature change stated in the letter strengthened the role of LRI in accomplishing the vision and missions of UMY towards World Class University rank in 2040. Hence, LRI’s strategic function within UMY is to establish high-impact research excellence and contribute to developing academics and technology nationally and internationally. The LRI conducts the university’s strategic aims in the Research, Publication, Journal, and Innovation fields. The LRI is responsible for executing the integration between research and education that results in advanced innovation and continual contribution to achieve research excellence in the university.
