Erlangga Publisher and LRI UMY Collaborate, Projecting an Increase in Book Publications
Yogyakarta (28/6) – The Research and Innovation Institute (LRI) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) has entered into a collaboration with Erlangga Publisher to enhance the quality and quantity of book publications at UMY. The Head of LRI UMY, Prof. Dr. Dyah Mutiarin, S.IP., M.Si., expressed her interest in accepting this collaboration offer considering the importance of expanding book publications that can be distributed nationally and even internationally.
Discussion on Contract Implementation between LRI UMY and Erlangga Publisher
The Branch Head of Erlangga in Yogyakarta, Supriadi Samsuddin, stated that the potential for book publication by UMY lecturers will attract significant market interest. One of the focuses will be on Religion, Islam, and Muhammadiyah Studies (AIK). Additionally, the aim of this collaboration is to facilitate the publication of books from lecturers, which will be prioritized.
Supriadi emphasized that book publications by Erlangga have adhered to the standards and regulations set by the National Library and ISBN. Therefore, compliance with regulations will minimize future problems and disputes. Regarding book promotions, they will coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure that the published books are widely known.
The implementation of this collaboration is not only in terms of publication. In the future, seminars will be held with competent speakers to guide writing for better optimization. Prof. Dr. Dyah Mutiarin, S.IP., M.Si. responded positively and will seriously pursue this collaboration as an effort to enhance UMY’s global book publications.
