Research Results Can Become Stakeholder Policy
Head of LRI UMY, Professor Dyah Mutiarin, hopes that the research results presented in the dissemination agenda can be applied by various stakeholders to workable policies.
UMY lecturers and students presented their research results, raising issues in various fields. Some fields studied in the research include green economy, blue economy, green tourism, digital governance, health, and financial management.
Dyah hopes that various stakeholders can utilize the research results to formulate policy. That way, the research results can benefit the community significantly. “So that this research can be more impactful, useful and can be applied by the community,” she said yesterday.

BUMDes Performance
The Head of UMY Proposer, Rudy Suryanto, explained the results of his research entitled Improving the Performance and Growth of BUMDes as an Enabler to Create a Sustainability-Based Tourism Industry Ecosystem. In the research, Rudy examined the factors influencing village-owned enterprises’ performance and growth (BUMDes).
In his research, internal and external social capital affects the improvement of BUMDes performance, which needs to be supported by innovation capability to improve BUMDes’ performance. In addition, innovation capability is driven by external social capital. “The more BUMDes are exposed to cooperation with campuses, assistants, government, the meaning of innovation capability will increase, then its performance can increase,” he explained.
Rudy revealed that BUMDes must be able to innovate to overcome challenges amid environmental changes and technological developments. BUMDes needs to improve performance to provide benefits to the community. The Head of UMY Proposer, Professor Eko Priyo Purnomo, explained the results of his research entitled Application of Tourism Transformation Model to Increase Green Economic Growth to Support Sustainable Tourism in Super Priority Destinations. He said the government has several super-priority tourist destinations.
UV Has a Negative Impact
The government has designed these as part of the state’s revenue sources. Destination tourism has been part of the government’s strategy to ensure increased state revenue, apart from taxes. If state revenue only comes from taxes, it will become increasingly burdensome.
The head of the UMY proposal, Qurratul Aini, presented the results of her research entitled Study of the Leadership Style of General Hospital Directors in the Implementation of Management of Regional General Hospitals and Muhammadiyah/Aisyiyah General Hospitals. Aini found it essential for hospital directors to have flexibility so that the policies that will be decided can accommodate the needs of patients.
The Head of UMY Proposer, Cahyo Budiyantoro, said the results of his research entitled Development of Wood Plastic Composite with Expanded Polystyrene Waste Matrix. In the study, Cahyono found that UV exposure hurt the impact strength of WPC specimens, with pine sawdust composites experiencing a higher degradation rate than those using teak sawdust.
