Yogyakarta (29/01) – The Research and Innovation Institute has held a Mid-Year Meeting (RKTT) to improve performance according to the values of Tri Dharma. This meeting aims to evaluate and provide information to all levels of University Leadership, Institutions, and Research and Innovation Institute Staff regarding the programs that have been implemented in the middle of this semester. This mid-year meeting was held on Monday, January 29 2024 at The Alana Hotel & Conference Center Malioboro Yogyakarta.

The mid-year meeting of LRI UMY was attended by the Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Head of BPP, Head of LRI, Head of Divisions, as well as staff from all divisions. This year, LRI UMY added a new division that aims to accelerate research resources at the Dasron Hamid Research & Innovation Center building. The new division is called the Research Resources Division, led by Mrs. Dr. Eng., Pinta Astuti, S.T., M.Eng. The Research Resources Division is expected to be able to be the initiator in preparing integrated laboratory plans and procuring equipment at RIC building, preparing plans for laboratory-based services, managing laboratories, and managing RIC Building maintenance including K3L for laboratories.

As stated by Prof. Dr. Ir. Sukamta, S.T., M.T., IPM. Asean, Eng., this meeting aims to become the medium for monitoring and evaluating achievements during the half semester. He hopes that the LRI meeting agenda will not be an arena for defense but rather a new starting point for achieving the targets that have been determined.

Mrs. Prof. Dr. Dyah Mutiarin, through her speech and guidance in highlighting the accelerated achievements of the Research and Innovation Institute, explained the need for, 1) external grants including targeted assignation grants with BRIN, Ministries and BUMN, 2) top 1-200 Scopus authors, 3) Scopus journal indexing, 4 ) management of the laboratory as a transitory, 5) acceleration of book publishing, and 6) implementation of ICOSI and UMY Grace in 2024.

Several targets have been achieved by each division according to the IKS goals set by LRI UMY. The achievements during the middle of this semester will become a reference for better acceleration in achieving IKS goals until the end of the semester. Furthermore, as an Asean Leaders University and Research Excellence University, it is hoped that Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, through the Research and Innovation Institute, will be able to support the university’s main vision, namely for the benefit of the society.

Research acceleration, publications, and innovation as well as research resources are the primary tasks of the Research and Innovation Institute. Therefore, the mid-year meeting 2024 (RKTT) is a momentum for the Research and Innovation Institute to improve while looking at our direction and goals to improve the quality and quantity as well as the performance of the Research and Innovation Institute in the future.
