Improving Quality Research, 3 UMY Lecturers Sign the 2024 KATALIS Contract
Yogyakarta, October 3, 2024 – The Research and Innovation Institute (LRI) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) held the signing ceremony for the 2024 strategic research collaboration grant contract today. The event took place in the LRI UMY and was attended by the Head of LRI UMY, Prof. Dr. Dyah Mutiarin, S.IP., M.Si., alongside the grantees of the KATALIS 2024 program.
In her opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Dyah emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in research to address increasingly complex global challenges. “Research activities must be able to provide real, research-based solutions. With this grant, we hope that the researchers will produce new innovations that benefit society, both at the national and international levels,” she stated.
The grantees awarded the 2024 KATALIS grant are researchers who have demonstrated outstanding dedication and contributions in their respective fields. They include:
- Dr. Ir. Novi Caroko, S.T., M.Eng.
- Winny Setyonugroho, S.Ked., MT., Ph.D.
- Dr. Ir. Ihsan Nurkomar, S.P.
This event marks the beginning of a strategic research period funded by the KATALIS grant, which will support research projects for the next year. The grantees are expected to utilize the research funds to develop projects that not only aim for academic publication but also create direct impacts on society.
The signing of this grant contract is part of UMY’s efforts to strengthen a collaborative, innovative, and impactful research network. “We hope that this collaboration will foster a dynamic research ecosystem at UMY and produce innovative works with high societal value,” Prof. Dyah added.
