The Union of Indonesian Government Science Study Programs (KAPSIPI) and the Association of Government Science Lecturers throughout Indonesia (ADIPSI) held the Inauguration and Work Meeting (Raker) of the 2024-2027 Management on Thursday – Friday (17-18/10) in the AR Fachruddin A Conference Room, 5th Floor, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY).

Prof. Dr. Dyah Mutiarin, S.IP., M.Si, Chairperson of KAPSIPI 2024-2027 specifically stated that KAPSIPI has real challenges and needs to be taken seriously. These challenges are elaborated into three important points First, the condition of the government transition period so that it can have an impact on the existence of new policies. Second, the management of the 2024-2027 period is in the Gen Z era which prioritizes Global Networking (communication networks that reach all over the world).

“Third, we are currently in the transition period of the new management, which requires clear strategic planning. In this period several strategic issues need to be considered, namely accreditation and ranking, employability of graduates, and increasing competence through the LSP (Professional Certification Institute), “said the UMY female professor who is familiarly called Arin.

Arin, who is also the Head of the UMY Research and Innovation Institute (LRI), emphasized that the issue of employability is an important and main issue.

“Do not let Government Science students after graduating have no goals and do not know what to do. We don’t want this. Thus, we need to think and know what to do so that the employability rate of graduates can be high and even increase,” he said.

Meanwhile, ADIPSI Chairman Dr. M. Nur Alamsyah, S.IP., M.Si said in his closing remarks that ADIPSI is an association for all lecturers of the Government Science Study Program. The association is an important thing for every Government Science lecturer.

“The association becomes an interest for us to determine the dedication and also the direction of this government lecturer to develop this nation in the future. To achieve this in this period we will try to strengthen the lecturer network,” Nur explained. This is done to encourage lecturer resources and also optimize the development of government in Indonesia.

Although ADIPSI is still experiencing “turbulence”, Nur believes that with the inauguration of the KAPSIPI and ADIPSI 2024-2027 administrators, more goodness and progress will be given to every Government Science Study Program from Sabang to Merauke and also for Indonesia. (NF)
