Visiting LRI UMY, UNIDA Gontor Conducts Higher Education Research Benchmarking

Yogyakarta (29/11) – In the framework of higher education benchmarking, Universitas Darussalam Gontor (UNIDA) visited the Research and Innovation Institute (LRI), Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The benchmarking focused on preparing strategic plans for higher education research.

By conducting a benchmarking visit, UNIDA Gontor was represented by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs in collaboration with the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) and its staff. Meanwhile, this event was chaired directly by the head of the LRI UMY.

The head of the Research and Innovation Institute, Prof. Dyah Mutiarin, showed gratitude for UNIDA Gontor’s visit. We are here learning to share knowledge for the good of all of us. We hope that what we shared with UNIDA Gontor can have a positive impact for the advancement of the quality of research in the future.

“Before this event took place, UNIDA Gontor had submitted points to request input for preparing the strategic plan. Then, we analyzed it according to the need to prepare a strategic research plan for UNIDA Gontor higher education,” said Dyah Mutiarin, the Head of LRI UMY.

According to the Head of the Research Division, UNIDA Gontor Community Service Research Institute (LPPM), stated that many important things were gained from benchmarking with UMY for the preparation of strategic plan documents.

“We would like to express our gratitude for the warm welcome and knowledge that UMY has shared with us,” he concluded.

To improve the quality of preparing research and publication strategic plans, we have to collaborate with an agency that can provide knowledge; thus, we can find out our weaknesses and level up to a higher level.

In benchmarking with the Research and Innovation Institute of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, LPPM Universitas Darussalam Gontor is hoped they can gain knowledge and effective strategies in preparing strategic plans for higher education research.
