Maritime Enforcement as part of the maritime governance system
Yogyakarta – (26/06) The Institute of Research and Innovation received a visit from the Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla) of the Republic of Indonesia to discuss security, security and law enforcement at sea in the framework of the preparation of the IKLN study manuscript. Urgensi Bakamla visited the Institute of Research and Innovation to ask for the views of academics regarding the law enforcement conditions in the Indonesian sea.
The International Security Studies Centre, led by Dr. Sugeng Riyanto, S.IP., M.Si said that “increasing the stability of national maritime security will have a great impact on a variety of maritime activities, including navigation, exploration and exploitation of SDA and biosphere as well as the preservation of the living environment”.
From this discussion there are six-dimensional measurement instruments: 1) Patrol Capacity, 2) Monitoring Capacities, 3) Marine Crime Control, 4) Marine Violations Control, 5) Marine Pollution Control, 6) Marine Accident Control. As an effort to develop a measuring instrument of the ICLN, a thorough study of each dimension and indicators of its configuration is required. This development is necessary to ensure that the IClN instruments can accurately measure national maritime safety and safety conditions.
The purpose of the coordination visit is to obtain information from academics on the concept of maritime enforcement as the material for the preparation of the study manuscript of the maritime safety index as contained in the stable saes maritime security index.
In this discussion of course it is expected to be advanced cooperation in the field of security, law enforcement at sea as is the focus of the Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla) of the Republic of Indonesia.
