Receiving awards at the 4th INNOVATION BANK CHALLENGE 2024 (IBC 2024) held at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia
Malaysia (22/10) – The Research and Innovation Institute of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (LRI UMY) took part in the 4th INNOVATION BANK CHALLENGE 2024 (IBC 2024) hosted at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) on October 22, 2024. The theme focused on the Exposition of Islamic Innovation.
Participants are required to successfully complete the assessment for the Research Innovation category, which encompasses 1) Originality of the Innovation, 2) Applicability of the Innovation, 3) Status of Innovation, 4) Commercial Potential, and 5) Presentation. Additionally, they must also pass the Research Idea category, which involves evaluating 1) Originality of the Idea/Concept, 2) Applicability of the Idea/Concept, 3) Implementation/Delivery of New Idea/Concept, 4) Impact of New Idea/Concept, and 5) Presentation.

During the event, apt. Sabtanti Harimurti, M.Sc., Ph.D., a Pharmacy Lecturer at UMY and Head of the Research Strengthening Division at LRI UMY, received both the “GOLD” and “Special Award” for project titled “Safeguarding Halalan-Toyyiban Standards: A Study on Critical Control Points in Agricultural Practices in Malaysia, Brunei, and Indonesia.”
This award demonstrates UMY’s capability to contribute to international collaborative research focused on the Safeguarding Halal-Toyyiban Standard.
