Yogyakarta (29/11) – The Research and Innovation Institute received a visit from Universitas Siliwangi Tasikmalaya. The visit was attended by the Head of the Research and Innovation Institute, the head of all divisions at the Research and Innovation Institute, and staff. Furthermore, the visit was represented by the Head of the Community Service Research Institute (LPPM) and staff at the Universitas Siliwangi Tasikmalaya.

The visit was conducted by Universitas Siliwangi to benchmark the Research and Innovation Institute in managing research, publications, and innovation. Benchmarking is crucial for Universitas Siliwangi as they consider Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta to be one of the campuses with the best quality of research and publications in Indonesia. On the other hand, this activity is also initial communication to carry out collaboration in the field of research and publication with UMY.

According to the Head of Universitas Siliwangi Community Service Research Institute (LPPM), “UMY is our reference for improving the management and quality of research at our university, so we need to learn from UMY how to provide tips and tricks. When we have gained knowledge, we will be able to continue to follow in UMY’s footsteps,” he concluded.

Responding to this, the Head of the Research and Innovation Institute, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. Dyah Mutiarin, stated, “We are very happy to be visited by Universitas Siliwangi. We are here learning to share knowledge for the good of all of us; thus, what we share with Universitas Siliwangi can have a positive impact and develop on the international level. “Apart from that, we will also collaborate with Universitas Siliwangi in the future, so we will formulate a good collaboration that can have positive impacts on both of us,” she said.

In improving the quality of research and publications, of course, we have to collaborate or benchmark with an institution that can share knowledge. Therefore, we can later identify our weaknesses and improve to a higher level.
